European trial complete
The Machine Preservation Trial (MPT) finished enrollment 31 October 2006 in Belgium, Germany, and The Netherlands. MPT stands foremost in our O:PAIRS group of landmark kidney preservation trials. All compare static storage to machine preservation on LifePort. As the director of Eurotransplant says, “This watershed study could end 30 years of debate about which preservation method is best.”
